How might we
A dispatch offer creation feature, where dispatchers enter the details of the dispatch request of the customer, and the tool shows all available truck-trailer- driver combinations available for that dispatch, and also calculates an offer price
Solution
Enter the details of the dispatch request from the customer and proceed to see the available truck-trailer-driver combination.
- The tool shows all the available truck-trailer-driver combinations available as per the dispatch request
- If no combinations are available for the given dates, the tools suggests the combinations for the next available dates
- The tool also shows hints with certain options (for eg: if the new dispatch request is possible along with an already planned dispatch)
- Once any available option is chosen, the tool moves to the detailed option view page
- Here the user can see details of the dispatch, the potential route, and most importantly a rough price which should be charged to his/her customer
- The cost calculator has various cost fields. Also, user can add new cost fields as costs may differ from businesses. Depending on the route, the tool can predict also the fuel price, depending on the location and fuel type.
- Once an offer is created, the user has the option to send the contract directly to the customer from the tool itself
- User can see the preview of the offer and edit any details if necessary
